I’m a photographer living in Saint Louis, Missouri and I run my own digital photography studio. Photography is one of my great loves as I’ve had a camera slung around my neck for as long as I can remember. I’ve taken countless photos of every subject you can imagine and I’m still in awe of what things in life there are left to learn. To quote the movie Carlito’s Way, “the day you stop looking, is the day you die.”
At life’s very foundation, I feel there are lessons to be learned and it’s important to pay attention to what you are being told, regardless of the source. As I’m sure you know, not all insights are meaningful to others; sometimes you sound obvious. Other times people nod and feign understanding, simply because they don’t want to seem weak, foolish, or clueless. “Everybody lies”, says Dr. House. It’s hard to know how to connect with people or if it’s even possible. Art often is direct. Its honest visceral reaction to something good, pleasing, or even awful is immediately apparent. It’s just one of many reasons why I love what I do. I hope you will too.
